Blackhawk Horse Camp, LLC - Osage County, KS

Blackhawk Horse Camp LLC is a new Equine only, RV and Primitive Campground located on Pomona Lake in Osage County, Kansas. Created the summer of 2012, Blackhawk Horse amp LLC is the only Equine Campground with electric on Pomona Lake offering centralized access to the 30+ mile Blackhawk Trail system. The campground offers 6 premium, 30 AMP electrical hookup sites, 2 non-electric premium sites, and lots of primitive camping area. Amenities include water, clean portable restrooms, pipe corrals for each site, along with hitching posts, picnic tables, and fire rings. A lighted round pen is available for use by all campers and an Arena and Extreme Trail Obstacle course are planned for spring 2013. The trail system will accommodate riders of all levels with mostly wooded, enjoyably varied terrain. Camping by reservation only.


Gypsum Hills Annual Trail Rides - Medicine Lodge, KS

The rides occur on the Gant-Larson Ranch, on the same land once roamed by the five Great Plains Indian Tribes–Kiowa, Apache, Comanche, Arapaho, and Cheyenne. A multitude of wildlife including white tail and mule deer, wild turkey, coyote, and bobcat are often spotted on the trail. With access to 10,000 acres, rider enjoy the wide-open spaces that make this ride unlike any other experienced. Both organized and private riding is provided on the ranch year round.

 Warm, friendly barn with 3 trainers who train in a variety of disciplines. Stall and pasture boarding available and welcome over-nighters as well. Room for large trailers with electric and water connections. The facilities include: 70×120 indoor arena, 100×200 outdoor arena, 60ft round pen, riding paths on the property, 12×12 stalls. There are also horse trails available at Hillsdale State Park just 10 minutes away.
